Melissa Etheridge... What a musical experience!

About 3-4 weeks ago i met in Parking night club a group of brazilians, in between them was: Barbara, she came for a month to visit Montreal, and she was leaving to Massachutsetts (i only learned how to pronunciate this word after Oliver taugh me: Massa-chusetts, Thank U boy).
She was leaving cuz she wanted to go see Melissa Etheridge, none of us could understand, how could she leave us to go, leave us and the whole partying scene that was happenning at the moment. Up till then i had no ideia of who Melissa Etheridge was. Oh WOW... now i do. Melissa Etheridge cancelled her show in Montreal last year after being diagnosted with cancer. But this year she is recovered and she made it. And How she made it... for me she is such a strong woman who about the cancer she said:
"people says oh a cancer, such bad luck, but for me i take as a gift, it was a gift, that helped me clean at lot of things that i didnt want in my life, gave me the strengh..."
Will we only be able to do that (cleanning) when we think we are dying or close to death?... not everyone can fight such cancer as she did, but she did, and for me she is a Fighter. Not only cuz of it... but cuz her show is composed by a band of 3 ( drums, electronic guitar and base), she plays the accoustic guitar, and some other she changed every song. There is no back vocals, no chorus, she sings every song top to bottom with no effort, its over-whelming. She sand for 3 hours... the crowd was going crazy, mainly lesbian, as Melissa is a lesbian... i swear i never saw so many together dancing and singing... over-rated. It was no doubt of it a happy moment. I loved the moment she broke down a bit, it was a lot of rock, and she sit to play in the piano, instrument that she self taught herself to play at the age of 12. It was beautifull. Someone who i cant forget to mention is Philip, her electronic guitarist... he was off the hook, amazing... i got chills just remenbering him play!
Thank you Danielle for giving me such a happy musical experience.
WOW... that is a true musician... i take my hat off for Melissa.
For the soundrack i'll use: You can sleep while i drive, by Melissa Etheridge.
